U.S. Congressional Delegation in Krakow

Six members of the U.S. Congress accompanied by their spouses, staff and military escort visited Krakow on August 7th-9th. The delegation included:


  • Representative John J. Duncan Jr (Republican Party, Tennessee), chairman of House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

  • Representative Bob Borski (Democratic Party, Pennsylvania) of House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

  • Representative Jerry Costello (Democratic Party, Illinois) of House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

  • Representative Wally Herger (Republican Party, California) of House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee

  • Representative Bud Cramer (Democratic Party, Alabama) of House of Representatives Appropriations Committee, and

  • Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson (Democratic Party, Texas) of House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee


Among other activities the delegation met with Malopolska Province governor, Jerzy Adamik. The discussion focused on environmental protection, water resources, international transportation and civil aviation.



Members of Congress met also with John Lynch, president of the American Chamber of Commerce of southern Poland.



Major Ernie Edgar of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers gave the delegation a briefing on Corp's activities in its Europe District.
